Zaid Shaikh is a foreign sophomore game design engineer. When he isn’t trying to watch/read/play everything under the sun he is usually busy brainstorming/writing/developing for the projects he’s involved in. Zaid plans on joining Naughty Dog as a game designer as well as someday having a successful development studio in India, helping bring the passionate game developers there into the spotlight.
Soma Mei Sheng Frazier is an East Coast Native living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her debut fiction collection, Collateral Damage: A Triptych, was lauded by Nikki Giovanni, Daniel “Lemony Snicket” Handler, Sarah Shun-lien Bynum, Molly Giles, Antonya Nelson and others and won the RopeWalk Press Editor’s Fiction Chapbook Prize. Frazier's new prose chapbook, Salve, is just out from Nomadic Press and already earning praise. New stories will also appear this year in Glimmer Train and ZYZZYVA. Meenu Kaur is a Digital Arts Engineering major interested in character rigging and scripting in Maya, who often tutors calculus. Her artistic inclinations lie in fine art, poetry, and technical/digital art. She is a literature enthusiast, a console gamer, and a mango fanatic residing in the California Bay Area.
As a digital art engineer at Cogswell, Olivia practices her skills in drawing and animating, along with some coding and scripting. She enjoys napping - and frozen yogurt with fruit and mochi toppings, while occasionally writing poetry. Olivia dreams of becoming a technical art director for a passionate animation studio and a freelance artist on the side.
Vivian Truong is currently studying Entertainment Design. She enjoys anything morbid or unusual, and hopes to create more strange stories in the future.
Preciosa is an avid enthusiast of both literature and technology. At Cogswell, she's studying a number of subjects including speech and oral communication - the pefect "stage" complement to the "page" lessons learned as an editor at COG. She will never pass up a red velet cupcake..
Nathan is an avid audio enthusiast focusing his studies on production sound, mixing, and sound design. Finishing his bachelors degree in Digital Audio Technology next Summer, he has already worked on the short film studio Project X working as a music composer, as well as production work for the brand TEDx. He is a native Seattlelite who loves the outdoors, and will never pass up a day in the woods.
